Dogs have always been a part of my family. I grew up with several coonhounds as well as a Lab mix at home. Every day after school, they were always there to greet us and play for as long as we were able. Their constant enthusiastic companionship and the comfort they provided in low times were an anchor for me during my childhood. As an adult, I understand and appreciate the impact that our furry friends have on their families and their homes.
During high school, I adopted my first dog Sadie from a local shelter. Raising her not only deepened my love for dogs, but it also clarified how a loving owner can transform a dog’s life. During her time with us, Sadie’s behavior and personality changed significantly for the better. Through my relationship with Sadie and my time working in a dog shelter helping rehabilitate aggressive dogs, I began to understand how proper handling and training can transform a traumatized dog. I also started to understand how the environment, proper nutrition, and other factors contribute to a dog’s development.
When Sadie passed, it impacted me heavily. I felt empty without her, and it crystalized the importance of our relationships with our dogs. They are far more than pets, they are a special kind of family member offering a unique kind of unconditional love. Shortly after Sadie’s passing, I met a Bark Buster who shared his experience in building a career around dogs. Seeing the joy it brought Marc and his wife Karen made me realize that I want to spend my days helping dogs and their owners. My goal is to teach owners how to help their dogs become happy well-mannered family members. The Bark Busters training system is second to none and can help you change your life and your dog’s life for the better. I look forward to helping you learn a better way to a better dog!
